AmCham: AmCham Earthquake Survey Time: 2008-5-21 18:00:00 Venue: AmCham Office
Dear Members and friends,
Hope you are doing well and recovering from the earthquake on Monday May 12!
First of all, please notice that all AmCham events in May are postponed until further notice.
Deeply shocked by the severe damage caused by the earthquake, we believe many of you have already stepped forward to offer support and aid. The American Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China has also decided to donate RMB100,000 to assist the disaster-relief and the afterward re-construction work.
At this difficult period, we understand that for business entities, one of the most important things is to resume production and business. So hereby we suggest our members to finish the attached Earthquake Damage Survey form to indicate us the possible loss at your firm and what AmCham can help.
Please complete the form then e-mail or fax to AmCham Office by Monday May 26 2008:
amcham@amcham-southwest.org
fax: 86 28 8524 8577
Additionally, we’d like to publicize AmCham members contribution to earthquake-relief on the upcoming first issue of AmCham magazine “ SouthWest”. Please tell us your company name and donation. You are welcome to submit articles and photos about your contribution as well. Please send e-mail to: kathyliu@amcham-southwest.org by Friday May 30 2008.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China is now proactively working with Government and disaster-relief organizations to make information available to members about where and how you can offer further support. We are also contacting AmChams in other cities and countries for greater teamwork and contributions. Please pay attention to AmCham’ s further e-mail notice.
Let our efforts continue.
Sincerely
The American Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China
